Carlton Dole
Carlton Dole, Director of Business Development, BarrelTex

Carlton Dole began his career in commodities on the Chicago Board of Trade Trading Floor at the age of 16 as a runner, evolving eventually into trading/hedging option strategies in agricultural, metals, and energy markets. He continued to actively participate in energy trading while pursuing his education, MBA Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business and Management (Finance), Sun Yat-sen Guangzhou, China (International Trading), University of Mannheim, Germany (Eurozone Trade Practices).

The business began to purchase truck volumes not only to blend but also to trade. Carlton studied condensate’s multiple applications, variance in quality, and valuation metrics as this niche became his area of expertise. As an active condensate broker, Carlton’s day-to-day working knowledge of the market is seen as an asset by many as he is continuously engaged in the negotiation/trading of barrels. Carlton enjoys presenting and was a guest on Platts Capitol Crude Radio Broadcast, published in industry literature, was guest lecturer at the University of Houston GEMBA program, a keynote speaker at several industry conferences, and hosts the "Condensate North America" Linked-In Group to keep dialogue with industry participants active.
